GEFCO

Gefco, the world’s fifth largest transport and logistics company, is involved in designing and implementing the supply of automobile manufacturing facilities and the distribution of their products.

The Supply division (Logistics and Overseas) is in charge of developing NetBox3, a new IT interface.
The purpose of this application is to optimize the Gefbox information system used by automobile manufactures and automobile parts manufactures to:

  • enter orders for handling materials
  • display the status of orders
  • track movements (input, output, stock)

With NetBox3's release, end users will require training and assistance.
LCI thus provides its expertise in change management and project management support to the Supply division to:

  • Design and draft the training materials and application reference guide for end users
  • Translate the materials into 5 languages and print them out
  • Test the interface
  • Teletrain 1,000 users in 12 countries over a 4 week period
Lead the level 1 technical assistance team from scratch, so that the Gefco sales teams can manage their business development activities.

During the call for tender stage, LCI’s strong involvement meant that it was able to recognize exactly what we needed and the context in which the Supply division had to develop.

LCI fully integrates all levels of project management on an international scale and its prices are highly competitive.
Before going into production, LCI demonstrated its project management capabilities by being able to provide its customers with specialized teams and versatile skills for maximum suitability, flexibility and responsiveness.

The teletraining and technical support stages were essential, and LCI was able to foresee technical and in-the-field problems by assisting our project management team and by accurately evaluating the requirements of the end users.  Project management included regular quantitative and qualitative reports.
