Definition of 'RSS feed' or 'RSS channel'

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a web content syndication format.

The system allows you to publish frequently updated digital content on information sites.

The titles or summaries of the latest news appear automatically in a web reader or a feed reader designed to receive this type of information (according to the user's subscription preferences).

Using an RSS reader

Before you subscribe to an RSS channel, you must choose a feed reader. Here are a few examples:

• A web browser (e.g. Firefox, Safari (Mac), Opera)
• Feed reader software (e.g. FeedDemon, NetNewsWire)
• An RSS web reader (e.g. Netvibes, Bloglines, NewsGator)

All you need to do now is add (copy/paste) the RSS feed address into your news feed reader.

Whenever new content is published on our website, the titles of our RSS channel will be automatically updated in your reader.
